Optional Permanent Orientation Record
The Ezy-Mark™ Ori-Disk™ provides an optional permanent record of each orientation. This is achieved by lining the pencil mark made by the Ezy-Mark™ tool on the core face with the tab on the internal diameter of the Ezy-Mark™ Ori-Disk™. The scribed mark made by the drill operator on the outer surface of the Ezy-Mark™ Ori-Disk™ provides an independent and permanent record of the position of the bottom of the hole.

In order to ensure that the core has been correctly marked, a geologist or other operator will:
Place the washer against the protractor card ("C" indentation facing down) with the tab on the internal diameter and the corresponding V-notch on the outer edge of the washer aligned with the 0° position of the protractor.
