The Innovative new Ezy-Mark Ori-Block™ not only replaces the traditional core block but also provides an auditable record of each orientation in the core tray. Ezy-Mark Ori-Block™ allows operators and customers to audit and analyse any orientation at any time.

Each Ezy-Mark Ori-Block™ is provided with a set of pins, optional pencil recess and a separate plastic screw-cap complete with recessed digital print for hole-depth and orientation-angle. Additional information such as core loss/gain, borehole advance and borehole number can be incorporated into the indicator cap if required.

If preferred, the Drill rig operator need not orientate the core sample but simply mark the bottom of hole on the outside of the Ori-Block™. The indicator cap is screwed onto the Ori-Block™, the hole-depth added and then the Ori-Block™ can be placed into the core tray. Then at any time the Geologist or Core Technician can remove the cap from the Ori-Block™, screw it to the rear of the block to use it as a core gauge and transfer the orientation data to the core from the block in the core tray.
